Day 1. Nairobi- Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through rich farmland on the shoulders of Mt. Kenya to the rugged semi-desert of Samburu. Arrive at lunch hour, afternoon game drive for the liver red reticulated giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, long neck Gerenuk, Blue flanked Somali Ostrich, Vulturine Guinea fowl and also Elephants, Leopards in the tree, African Buffalo, Cheetah and Braving Lion in the grass. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day 2. Samburu
Morning and afternoon game drive at the park with optional visit to the Samburu village. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day 3 & 4. Sweetwater game reserve and chimpanzee sanctuary
Early morning game drive in Samburu national reserve, breakfast at the lodge and depart for Sweetwater’s arriving at lunch hour. Sweetwater’s is in the slope of Mt. Kenya and overlooks a floodlit waterhole offering visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view and shoot pictures of animals in their natural habitat. Optional walking safari escorted by a knowledgeable Ranger. Bird-walks, camel safari, chimpanzee observed from a boat on the Ewaso Nyiro River which supports other wild game like Elephant, Buffalo, Baboon, Eland, Silver-backed Jacked Jackals, Ostrich, and Rhino among others. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwater’s tented camp.
Day 5. Sweetwater’s- Treetops
Early morning game drive at Sweetwater’s, breakfast and depart for Treetops in the Aberdare national park. Arrive in time for lunch at the Outspan country club. Afternoon transfer to the treetop lodge for floodlit game viewing. Contains a variety of wild game. Among them is elephant, rhino, bushbuck, leopard, elusive bongo and giant forest hog. Dinner and overnight at treetop lodge
Day 6. Treetops- Lake Nakuru
Pre-breakfast game viewing, breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru still exploring the Great Rift Valley. Arriving in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. It’s referred to as the pink Lake for its masses of pink flamingos. It is a rhino sanctuary and harbors other wild game like the lion, waterbucks, buffalo, warthog and hippo. Meals and overnight at lodge.
Day 7. L. Nakuru- Maasai Mara
Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, breakfast and depart for Maasai Mara crossing Loita plains and viewing sceneries enroute, see red clad Maasai warriors tend multi-colored herds amongst plains games. Game viewing enroute to lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park then dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8 & 9. Maasai Mara
Full day at the park with morning and afternoon game drive. Search for wild game black manned lion, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard, grants gazelle are common, rare rhino might come out, hyenas are plentiful. Extending the drive to the hippo point where school of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their pleasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. Optional visit to the Maasai village between meals for an insight to their culture if clients so wish, plus optional balloon ride. Diner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 10. Maasai Mara- Nairobi
Early morning game drive, return to lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi with game view as you leave the park enroute to main round and even beyond. Arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 11. Nairobi- Amboseli
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive to Amboseli at the foot of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro that is Africa’s highest peak. Arrive in time for lunch with game viewing to the lodge. Afternoon game drive, meals and dinner at the lodge.
Day 12. Amboseli
Full day at Amboseli to explore and beauty of the park searching for elephants, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, zebra and the Maasai giraffe. Meals and overnight at the lodge
Day 13. Amboseli- Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West via Chyulu hills and Shaitani lava flows and Mzima springs where from an underwater observation tank you can see submerged hippo walking the floor of the springs. Tsavo host the ‘Big Five’ and plenty of other wild game. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 14. Tsavo West- Tsavo East
Depart Tsavo West after breakfast and cross over to Tsavo East which is also well known for massive herds of elephants which are usually covered in red dust, the man eaters of Tsavo lions are seen and plenty of wild game. Meals and overnight at lodge
Day 15. Tsavo East- Nairobi
Early morning game drive, return to lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
